Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! Will you be in the kitchen, or do you get to sit and relax while others do the cooking? I love bonding over casserole assembly lines while the turkey roasts! I’m always a sucker for the holidays, and Thanksgiving is no exception. Who knew that a peaceful dinner between pilgrims and Native Americans would turn into one of our most fantastic holidays?

As you are gathered around the table giving thanks and enjoying the company of family, think about all the every day things we take for granted. Most of us are lucky enough to have food when we are hungry, a roof over our heads, and people to spend the holidays with. The holidays can get a little frustrating when trying to make plans, but when we remember these simple things, we can be more flexible with our family.

This is also a great time to help work at churches and homeless shelters. Everyone deserves food every day, not just on Thanksgiving. If you are looking for a great way to fill some spare time in your life, take this reminder to set up a schedule to volunteer at a pantry, church or shelter all year round!

We are fortunate enough to live in a country where we can celebrate wonderful holidays like this with our families. Have fun, travel safe, and enjoy the warmth and comfort Thanksgiving can bring!
